Facebook "Freebooting" - Piracy

An interesting thing I heard about recently, how people downloaded viral videos from YouTube, reupload them to Facebook and get millions of views. This means that the original creator is missing out on ad revenue, and the pirate is making money off someone else's work. Facebook also indirectly encourages this, since they money off it too.

Also, as mentioned in the video, how do you stop this?


Just a heads up, as I thought this was amazingly unfair.

So basically there is nothing you can do if you catch someone freebooting.
And, furthermore, the systems created by YouTube to try and combat this kind of action are all incredibly corrupt and end up only being used by companies to block information they don't want being posted.
