Found a skip toward the end. If you fall from the ladders on the snow building (red circle) to the front of the snow building, there are barrier blocks on top of the glowstone/fence setup (black circle). The fall dropped me to 1/2-1 heart, but I was able to jump over the fence in front of the nether brick building (yellow arrow) and into the red building. This skips the nether brick building entirely, where you're supposed to enter it from the top and work your way down.
