I was originally going to put up some videos on youtube advertising our FFA+ maps with a nice electronic/dance music mix in the background. I attempted to put up a six-minute demo mix that was part of the project, but all of the copyright flags went up and youtube hates me now.
As a result, I still want to do a mix for the server, but I want to see what songs you guys want in it!
I want it to be continuous (no breaks in between songs, and songs blended/faded from one to another) and relatively close genres. However, I am willing to ease up on the genre-matching, as long as I can make something good-sounding come from it.
So please, if you have any electronic/dance/video game/pop songs, or something else that you think I can mix, let me know! But if you were to tell me a few, please provide links where I may download or listen to the songs (youtube will work). Just make sure that they are of decent quality and not too out there. Also, it helps if you were to listen to others' suggestions, and pick songs you think would work well with them. However, you don't have to limit me to one tempo, as I have my ways of changing things up
The more songs I get, the merrier. I won't be able to use all songs requested, so giving a list of a few will help ensure that at least one of your favorites will make it in.
There is no estimated time of completion. It's done when it's done. However, I may update you if I get some real good transitions down. When it's done, I'll try to put it up for download here on the forums. This is my gift to the community I've been with for three years.
