My w.e question is: is it possible to copy something and paste it in a region (but have the paste activate on certain blocks)? Like if i wanted 200 towers that were identical, could i place one block for each one and just have the paste activate on top of that certain block?

I'm asking this because I need varied buildings(skyscrapers) to be put up in my map as barriers. A template building is 3 x 3 x y. Currently I have a glowstone block representing each building. Since the sections of buildings connected together are varied, I don't want an op to go through and paste the building 200 times.

As far as I know, no.

If they are equal distance apart, there is the stack function, which allows copies in one direction.

You'd build one, they would be copied in one direction, creating say nine more, then those ten would be copied in a perpendicular direction to create say ninety more.
