So, a while back I was watching a lets play on a game and thought it would be fun to play, but forgot what it was...

hoping someone can help me remember it. Here's what I remember:

  • player starts by getting out of a stasis chamber in a "vault" with a bunch of other failed stasis chambers (everyone else is dead)
  • exiting the chamber, you find a wasteland earth that is kind of Mad Max-esque
  • for some reason, people like you (part of a world repopulation project from before whatever the disaster was) have a huge bounty on them
my brain keep going back and fourth on the art style (not sure if it was realistic, or more Borderlands style)

I can try to remember more details, but the more i try the more likely it's going to start having details from other games bleeding in.

Yeah, my first two guesses would be Fallout or Rage too.

...The protagonist, an "Ark Survivor", emerges into this setting in year 2135, one-hundred and six years after being put into stasis inside an underground shelter called an Ark...
...These underground shelters are the direct result of the Eden Project, a massive international undertaking in which hundreds of Arks, containing cryogenic pods, were sealed under the surface of the Earth in order to preserve enough of the human population to rebuild civilization in the future...
...The Ark Survivor's Ark in particular is heavily damaged, with all of its other residents dead...

Start of the plot line of Rage.

thanks guys, it was Rage. jelly's trailer posting (without actually watching it) matched the art style I first thought of with it and crafter's synopsis of the intro plot solidified it for me :D
