Resolved - Hopper Minecarts are disabled/broken

Ok, this has been bugging me for a while, but I just realised this is a minr-specific thing.

Basically, hopper minecarts don't work (e.g. pull items from chests or push into chests)

Kinda annoying, breaking something I made.

Can u fix plz, thank u

I used them before and they worked. Are you actually giving the hopper time to grab an item?

Are you sure you're using hopper MINECARTS. I did several tests, both with moving and stationary hopper minecarts.
Also, I think it is only bugged with chests and not furnaces. I don't know, can't check atm.

I made a setup on my redstone testing world (from top to bottom, chest, rail w/ hopper minecart, hopper, chest) and it worked. I made the exact same setup in both the overworld and the end, and neither worked.

Can confirm that the hopper minecart refuses to pull stuff out of inventories, but does accept drops.

Right, Guessing it has to do with the 'new' worldguard, as entities are interpreted as 'players' in 1.8 (pistons cant push blocks if they don't have the permission, and so can't hoppers, apparently).

Edit: doesn't exactly look that simple, might also have to do with spigot itself.

That's rather annoying...is it possible to set up all game mechanical entities such as those to be in a permission group that has the same override as ops?

I know this is possible with external mods like buildcraft on tekkit servers. Not sure with mc items though.
