It's that time of the year again, where we can increment the number of years we've been running.
Of course such festivity doesn't happen without gifts.
In the past year, speedrunners have shown their strength. Sub 2-minute times on RUSH, 11 minute times on Cake Quake, and even 11 minutes on Planets, not to mention the 8 second times on Pandemonium.
Beating a map fast is fun and all, but the players who go for the 'slow but steady' course of action weren't involved in much of this fun. But that will change today, with the all-new Hexa Challenge, where players have to show their consistency and persistence.
The Hexa Challenge consists of all publicly available maps at this time (will dynamically adapt to new maps and removed maps), which a player has to beat in 66 lives. Each map will award the same amount of Challenge Points as the stage it is, so the first map will award 1 Challenge Point, the second 2 C-Points, and so on.
To view how far a player has gotten in the Hexa Challenge, use:
/ch hexa <playername>.
To join the Hexa Challenge there's a sign on the "Daily board (now dubbed challenge board)" or type: /ch join hexa.
It's possible to do /ch info hexa, but the info is too much for Minecraft chat to handle.
Let's see how far you can get with 66 lives.
