Resolved - Collision

So, I just wanted to ask if collsion, which has been added in either 1.9 or 1.10 of minecraft, could be removed. I have seen several people complain about it, and it ruins some of the parkour experience by people pushing eachother of blocks and making them start over. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be much appreciated.

Just did a little research, it is a much requested feature to add an option to disable it. No such feature currently exists.

Personally, I think people should be looking at how they can avoid being in a situation where they are knocked off of blocks. Before the collision was removed, people would line up at the course start and wait for the previous person to gain a decent lead before starting. There were a few who, out of malice, purposefully prevent others from completing the course either by blocking the path or by pushing others off, but they were always dealt with appropriately. A little bit of patience will go a long way.

huh...Look at 6 sources, all are requests to add a feature to disable it. Then one source that didn't come up for me shows that there is a command via scoreboards...Don't you just love google's search algorithms sometimes?

Anywho...Personally, I think a bit of patience could solve the issue myself, but if it's decided to disable it, it's decided to disable it. And if it turns into a discussion of the pros and cons, here's my two cents:

Pro collision:

• if someone goes AFK on a jump pad, you don't have to blind jump (and to be honest, if you go afk in a spot that blocks other players, I feel that someone pushing you off and forcing you to restart is justified)
• it helps to regulate player flow in courses where only one player is meant to be in a given spot at a time

Pro no-collision:

• people can't use it to just be jerks
• limits inhibition of play-ability due to number of players

Whoops, I removed the teams for the purple coin event, forgot to readd the script to spawn.

At spawn, on the clearing walkscript (the block directly on /spawn), a script '/scoreboard teams join <player> collision' should be added.
This prevents player-player collision.
